We do things differently. Every member of our janitorial team is a W-2 employee earning $32 per hour — a genuine living wage for the Seattle area. We provide full workers’ comp coverage, commercial auto insurance, and general liability. When you hire us, you can add Seattle Surface Cleaners as an additional insured on your policy.

Our Cleaning Process: Daily, Weekly, and Monthly Schedules
We don’t believe in a one-size-fits-all cleaning plan. When we walk your property during the initial visit, we build a custom schedule based on your facility type, foot traffic, and specific pain points. Here’s what a typical plan looks like:
Daily Tasks
- Empty all trash and recycling bins
- Vacuum carpeted areas and mop hard floors
- Sanitize restrooms — toilets, sinks, mirrors, and restocking supplies
- Wipe down high-touch surfaces: door handles, light switches, elevator buttons, and shared equipment
- Clean and sanitize kitchen and break room counters, sinks, and tables
- Spot-clean glass doors and entry windows

Day Porter Services: On-Site Support When You Need It
For properties that need more than a nightly cleaning crew, we offer dedicated day porter services. Right now we’ve got 8 day porters deployed across our recurring client locations throughout Seattle.
A day porter is your on-site, real-time cleaning presence. They handle the messes that happen between scheduled cleanings — a coffee spill in the lobby, an overflowing trash can in the break room, or a restroom that needs attention mid-afternoon. They’re especially valuable for high-traffic retail spaces, medical facilities, and multi-tenant office buildings.
Your day porter becomes part of your team. They learn your building, know your tenants by name, and handle issues before anyone has to file a complaint. That’s what we mean by prevention over reaction.

Janitorial & Day Porter Services: $28–$35 per hour
Your actual rate depends on the scope of work, facility size, and frequency of service. A small office that needs cleaning three nights a week is going to be different from a medical facility that needs a day porter five days a week. We’ll walk your property, understand your needs, and give you an honest quote.
Every proposal includes a detailed scope of work so you know exactly what you’re paying for. No vague line items. No guesswork.
